It is a useful model to remember the five primary threats and rewards that drive our behaviour. By understanding the five elements of the model it can help to reduce and dampen your stress response and give you some pointers to create a reward response.
This means you will be in a better position to use your prefrontal cortex, the part of your brain you rely on in order to be able to understand, memorise, recall, make decisions and inhibit unwanted behaviours.
